About us
Dutch Harvest Farm sits on 50 picturesque acres along the east side of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail (Route 34B) in Lansing, NY. The Farm is bordered by tall mature trees that create a wooded-wonderland but not to be out done by the cascading falls running the length of the property into Cayuga Lake.
We are conveniently located only 15 minutes from downtown Ithaca, the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) and an hour from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR).
Our 7,000+ square foot event barn offers many layout options that let you design the event your way. The barn can comfortably seat 280+ people inside for a reception and there is no need for a tent with plenty of ceremony options such as the enclosed loft, attached porches, custom pavilion or our lavish gardens. You have plenty of layout options - it's your day, plan it your way!
We, however, are more than just a barn! Our owners expertise is what sets Dutch Harvest apart from the rest. She was sought out and offered a job fresh out of college to plan events for NFL Hall of Famer, Jim Kelly and his non-for-profit, Hunter’s Hope. She then continued to plan events for the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and most recently, Cornell University.
What's in a name
Our name actually came from the owner's husband during a car ride. In pondering the new business, she was stumped on a name - nothing quite fit the vision she had in her head. She turned to him asking if he had thought of a name, expecting him to say "whatever you want to name it", when he replied matter of factly, "Dutch Harvest Farm". Pleasantly surprised she asked the meaning.
His reply was simple and so perfect -
"Dutch" to us means family, "Harvest" is a time that brings all people together and "Farm" because that is the family meeting place.
While not deep or prophetic, he knew her vision, her heart and her passion and nothing could have fit better than those three words.
